Reel Bad Arabs: Blog Post 2 – Week 3

In the film the narrator talked about how Arab people are portrayed in Hollywood. He talked about all the negative stereotypes that Arab people face and that no one seems to care. Which is interesting because if it was another race, for example black people, there would be an uproar about how offensive the stereotypes are. Watching this film made me think about how many movies I have seen that use offensive stereotypes about Arab people and the more I thought about it the film was right, Arab people are portrayed in basically the exact same way in every movie. Thinking about this made me wonder what I could do to change this.
