After watching this video I think that it is crazy that someone who was running for president could be so oblivious to an issue that affects millions if not billions of people world wide. Gary Johnson didn’t know what or where Aleppo was and then ended up getting embarrassed on national television for it probably killing whatever small chance he had of winning, since he was a libertarian candidate. Basically what happened is that he was misinformed and got exposed on a very large scale for it which can teach us all a lesson on the need to be prepared.
CLIP 2:
Theres no water in Aleppo
Kids swimming in a pool created from exploded pipes
Kids talking about attacks in their neighborhood
Woman’s brother found dead while kid watches
This clip showed us a glimpse of what it is like to live in Aleppo and after watching it really raises questions to how someone running for president could be completely unaware of something this horrific. There were kids watching their family members and neighbors getting crushed in the rubble after a bombing like it was a normal occurrence. There were kids playing in “pools” created by bombs. It was a heartbreaking video to watch because when you compare their quality of life to the quality of life kids in the states have the difference is astronomical. The most disturbing part of all of this too me was how the kids talked about the attacks like nothing happened at all.
CLIP 3:
In this clip we get to see a woman walk through old Aleppo and show us shops that had been closed down because terrorists had taken control of the city. She talks with a shop owner for a while and we get to hear some of his perspectives on the events that had transpired, however, it was kind of hard to hear him because of the camera work. This shows us what Aleppo looks like compared to when it has just been bombed like we had seen in the previous video which shows us the viewers how bad the conditions are compared to what they are used to. This connection between the second and third video also shows how terrible it was that Gary Johnson had no clue what Aleppo was.
